It’s that time of year again! The lululemon Warehouse Sale dates have been announced and it wouldn’t surprise me if there were people waiting in line already. Alright, maybe it would…
The first official lululemon Warehouse Sale of 2008 is going down in Calgary at the Big Four Building. The event starts on Thursday January 24th at 9am and runs until Sunday the 27th.
Lineups will be long, so get there early. The good news is, the venue is HUGE and according to the lululemon website new products will be arriving each day. Phew! If you aren’t out in the dark at 3am on Wednesday you might still score a bargain.
Hours:
Thursday January 24th 9am-9pm
Friday January 25th 9am-9pm
Saturday January 26th 9am-9pm
Sunday January 27th 10am-6pm

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! That event in that location is going to be insane! It’s huge! There is going to be so much stuff! Finally we get to have a good sale in Calgary. Does anyone know if the lines are really going to be as long as everyone said they were in Toroto? The Big 4 is huge.
Any chance of a LLL sale in Winnipeg?
Hey Shannon. Looks like the sales are only going on in Ottawa and Calgary this year.
Though it seems like there are some good in-store discounts. But still, they can’t beat the allure of a big, bad warehouse sale!! ~lululover team
How big are the discounts at the warehouse sales?
I am just wondering how good the deals typically are? are we talking $5 or $10 off pants or more? Has anyone been to one and what did you score? I am hoping to make it but wanting to know if it is worth the frenzy and line up!
I just heard the line up just to get into the Big Four Building was 5 hours long??? Has anyone gone and experienced this?
What type of deals are there??? Is it worth the wait??
If you go closer to the end of the sale they are HUGE deals and people are so sick and tired of the line ups all weekend that the wait has totally slimmed down by the time Sunday has rolled around. This is a clearance, they do not want to pack all this stuff up again! It is well worth it in my experience. GO!
The lineup Thursday morning was so long it made local news headlines and caused traffic snarls. Around the building to the south as far south likely as the Elbow River or even further. I went in line at 6:30 pm and waited an hour. Friday wasn’t as bad. I am sure Saturday will be busy. It is going to be 3C Saturday and a massive arctic cold front will hit Calgary Sunday afternoon.
Men: the men’s selection is good and was well stocked. The color selection could have been better. Tons of silverescent tops as well as outdoor and luon pants. Shorts - not a lot - mostly boards, reflexes, and some hot yoga shorts. A lot of black, a lot of white, and a lot of styles consistent across the colors, particularly in greens. If you are a man wearing large to XXL, there was a huge selection of luon jackets.
Women: The women in line with me were receiving text messages about some good deals for the ladies.
There are some real bargains if you look hard enough. I snapped up a pair of $100 luon pants for $20. I also snared up a $210 jacket for $50. Everything else - about 40 to 60% off on average. I didn’t see any cotton hoodies though. Definitely no cooldowns and I didn’t see any scubas. Did anybody snap up one?
Got there at 6:45am (in at 9) Friday, line was next to nonexistent. As it got closer to 9am, the line went down the length of the Big 4, around the corner, down the width and along the fence. The line was long but once inside it was organized and totally under control. I came away with 5 tops (whisper and deep v’s), one pair of Lulon long black pants, and a gym bag. The prices were variable from item to item. Deep V tanks were $29 (originally $58 I think,) no hoodies and zip up jackets or sweaters were hard to come by.
So it wasn’t too bad, I went in without any preconceived notions. Overall, with my purchase I saved 50% not too shabby! If you are a 6 or an 8, this is the sale for you. 12’s and 14’s were slim pickings, I kept hearing employees asking the employees in the back if they had any more 12’s and 14’s left and the response was always “we’re looking for them but we probably don’t have any more.”
