The first ever sports bra, called the Jogbra, was made by sewing two jock straps together. Talk about function over form.
When it comes to my sports bra, I definitely put function first. I don’t care how cute the bra looks – if it doesn’t do its job, I’m not wearing it. The lululemon Deep V Bra allows me to have my cake and eat it too! While not an overly supportive bra whatsoever, for low to moderate support activities (think yoga, pilates, weight lifting) the Deep V Bra is the hottest bra on the market.
First off - for the smaller busted gal, the Deep V Bra (and Tank) is your new best friend. You’ll look like you just had a boob job. Seriously. You’ve never gained cup sizes so fast.
For busty ladies – this bra will make you look even more busty. And if you are super duper busty, your boobs will just plain fall out while in downward dog. You’ve been warned! High impact activities for the well-endowed are certainly not recommended in this bra. A great option, however, is to pair the Deep V Bra with a Deep V Tank. This provides double the support and will give you cleavage galore!
Aside from the glorious “effects” of the Deep V Bra, and bra is flat seamed – leaving no irritation or chafing. The racerback helps keep you cool and allows for unlimited movement. The whole bra is wicking, meaning sweat instantly moves away from your body, into the fabric, and then evaporates. When I workout, I sweat a lot, and thankfully this kind of fabric makes it all disappear quickly! There is a built in iPod pocket – big enough for a shuffle – or to fit a gym pass / key / money. I don’t know how I would live without this feature. The bra also comes with removable cups to help add a little lift, a little support, and a whole lot of nipple coverage!
I love that this bra leaves no pressure points. You will not be squeezed or squished out of this bra if you choose your size correctly. The flat seams and smooth fabric make you forget you are even wearing a bra – so you can focus more on your workout, and less on readjusting yourself.
In short, if you are searching for a fantastically flattering sports bra, and don’t need high support – you’d be hard pressed to find anything better out there. The Deep V bra comes in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and looks great on all shapes and sizes.
