I’m a tough critic on bras. I have a teeny tiny rib cage, and wear a 32DD - so I definitely can’t wear your average sports bra. Before I discovered lululemon, I refused to wear any bra other than a ShockAbsorber. I still think these bras are brilliant. They last for eons and while wearing them, your boobs won’t budge one bit. However, I couldn’t wear my big ShockAbsorber bra under most of my cute lulu workout tanks - so I was on a mission. I tried every lulu bra, one by one, until I had a winner.
The Power Y Bra changed my life. Common sense told me that skinny straps and light fabric weren’t the makers of a heavy duty sports bra, but boy was I wrong! When worn underneath a Power Y Tank, this bra actually does the trick! It’s comfortable, flattering, and with the added support from the tank’s built in shelf bra, the Power Y Bra is really the greatest thing since sliced bread. The bra has a slim racerback, and is cut high in the chest, so from top to bottom your bust is covered. This really helps to reduce vertical movement.
Even if you aren’t a 32E, you will love this bra. It actually changes the way you wear a bra. There is a built in key pocket on the inside, to store money or hold a key when you go to the gym, and the back of the newer bras are made of mesh to keep you cool and add support. However, the really beautiful thing about this bra is the seams. They are sewn flat, so there is no chafing whatsoever. Even the skinny straps don’t create a pressure point. The bra is designed exquisitely. There is no clasp on the back, only flat sewn seams, so you stay comfortable all day.
The Power Y Bra was recently upgraded and is now called the Flow Y Bra. They are nearly identical, with a few added features, and come in a wide variety of colors and sizes. They do stretch a tiny bit, so I suggest buying the bra a size too small. It should be slightly hard to get on the first time you wear it, and will relax minimally after use.

You might even want to go down two sizes in this bra if you want super extra supportiveness.
I’m a size 12 normally in lululemom stuff and for the flow y bra I squeeze into an 8 so I can get amazing results. Nothing squishes out the edges.
The shockabsorber is so great too but very different.
